Jocelyn Carranza is a Mexican American multimedia journalist born in San Diego, California. She recently graduated from San Francisco State University on May 2017 with a Bachelors in Print and Online Journalism with a minor in History.

Carranza decided to pursue a career in multimedia journalism in an effort to share her subjects stories through new mediums that can help her audience understand her subject in a deeper level. Most of her work emphasizes on social resistance in the Bay Area as well as the Latino community experience both in the United States and South America.

Carranza considers herself a San Diego and/or San Francisco based artist and multimedia journalist. She is currently freelancing in San Francisco, California.
